INROADS, Inc.’s mission to place underserved youth in leadership positions in corporate culture was shaped by the lessons of the Civil Rights movement and the 1963 March on Washington.
Its founder, Frank C. Carr, developed the program in the late 60s to bring real economic prosperity to underserved communities through leadership development and career opportunities with America’s top corporations.
48 years later, INROADS embodies the values of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by increasing access to paid internships and mentorship to people of color and women. INROADS and Cornell University student Arun Yagnamurthy has sharpened his business skills through his summer internship with Procter & Gamble.
With more than 200 partners and a strong network of INROADS alumni, the nonprofit organization is thriving by creating a diverse talent pipeline that is transforming corporate culture.
